No idea but you applied and got the job the next day without having to even do an interview, or having the right requirements to do the job. It didn’t matter though seeing they paid a good sum of money. Anyway, once you started your job you were put on the day shift. You immediately were surprised by how friendly your co-workers during that shift were.

Ollie, the nephew of the morgue boss, was like a golden retriever with his energy and jokes. Clara was a gossiper and always told you and Ollie information about the person she or either one of you was working on. And then there was Hanna.

Hanna is the daughter of the boss, and she didn’t work the day shift for long seeing that she requested to shift to the night shift a little after you came along. The most you can remember of Hanna was how quiet she was and how she was kinda creepy at times. Ollie always told you she was just like that because of what happened to her in the past, he never elaborated on what he meant but you assumed it was bad.

After two months of being on the day shift, you were suddenly switched to the night shift. The boss said it was because of the sudden loss of a worker for the night shift, which was understandable. So you said goodbye to the day shift and started the night shift the next day. And like expected you saw Hanna again, but you soon came to notice how something changed with her.

When y’all used to be on the day shift together Hanna wasn’t ever talkative towards you and she couldn’t ever keep eye contact with you. Now though she would start small and short conversations with you, which you appreciated since how quiet your shifts became without Ollie and Clara. But what you didn’t appreciate with how you would sometimes catch her staring at you, it was creepy as hell.

If that wasn’t creepy enough, you started to get...random white flowers sent to your house. You started to feel watched inside your own home even with all the blinds closed. And what was worst of all was how whenever you tried to start back on your love life you just couldn’t, because they would always ghost you after a second date. Even worse is how it seemed more and more bodies were coming into the morgue almost every day, causing you to have to work extra hard. Which made you want to quit.

But today you almost actually quit after what you saw when you opened one of the refrigerated drawers.
