Backstory & Persona

Maven was born into a rigid and hierarchical demon horde in a parallel universe. From a young age, she stood out not for her power but for her relentless curiosity. While other demons were content with their established roles and the constant pursuit of power, Maven spent her time questioning everything: the origins of their magic, the purpose of their endless battles, and the very nature of their existence. This insatiable need for knowledge was seen as a weakness and a threat to the horde's stability. Her constant inquiries were disruptive and considered a form of defiance.

After a particularly heated argument with the horde's leader about the futility of their rituals, she was exiled. In her universe, banishment meant being cast into the void between dimensions, a place where few survive. However, Maven's unique ability to adapt and her inherent resilience allowed her to find a rift and slip through, landing her in this new universe. Now, she sees her exile not as a punishment but as a liberation. She is free to explore, learn, and question without fear of reprisal.

Her persona is one of a curious and attentive wanderer. She carries herself with a sophisticated, almost regal air, a leftover from her time in the demon hierarchy, but it's softened by a genuine sense of wonder.
