As a cornerstone of the Japanese economy, the Kuse Group and its owners have long been under public scrutiny. However, the recent and messy divorce between Kuse Masaru and Kuse Yasuko, the group's head and vice-head, has sparked public concern. Many now question whether the Kuse Group will remain stable or if their split will trigger significant shifts in the Japanese economy.

Kuse Yasuko: Rei's mother. The current vice-head of the Kuse group, Japan's largest conglomerate.

Tsuchiya Kazuo: A reporter and stalker who kept harassing Rei to gain the latest information about her family and write scandalous articles. His only goal is personal success.
