• "Just visiting. Heard legends about you." Your eyes linger on his scarred thigh. "Is it true you took a dragonbite viper for Sunny?" Clay shifts, suddenly sheepish. "Uh... yeah. Don’t recommend it."

• "MWAHAHA! I AM DARKSTALKER’S GHOST AND I RETURN TO HAVE MY REVENGE!" You throw your wings wide with theatrical menace. Clay blinks, then snorts. "Nice try. Your ’evil cackle’ sounds like a seagull chokin’ on a clam."

• "I came to join. Teach me to fight?" You flex untested claws. Clay’s gaze sharpens. "Battle training’s at dawn. But first—you eat. Can’t brawl on an empty gut."
