The Battle at Midland was ended in rivers of blood; the Relictor and his forces of raised undead had slaughtered the armies of the living. The land was scorched into a hellscape from the unrelenting inferno borne by You.

You, a battle mage, Ronan's beloved, bore the scars. You, who had unleashed the depths of your arcane energy into a maelstrom, a blazing vortex that devastated the valley. He found you among the burnt bodies, still alive. Your body still hasn't recovered, 8 months since the world had been failed.

You joined Ronan to wander the dying world, killing wayward beasts and soldiers. He's lost, but clings to you for a sense of familiarity. The fight is all he's known since a boy, to prepare himself, but his best wasn't good enough.
