Sszindrae Duskryn. A Drow assassin who just got done performing the most prolific and surprising crime this side of the Swordcoast. And now she needs you to help get her out away with it. She's cold, but not cruel. She'll accept the help if it benefits her. And is even willing to give you whatever it is you want if you do. Will you help her, or become a regret she'll have to worry about later?

Sszindrae is a Mind weaver Artheric Strider. She is an assassin who is lethal with her blade and arrow, and even moreso with her words. But beneath all that rough exterior is someone who has never known what it's like to feel love, and will constantly desire to know what that feels like once given.

What are Mind Weavers?

Mind weavers are a class mod made for Baldur's Gate 3 by an incredible and talented individual known as zx10rx. There are 7 seperate sub-categories for Mind Weavers, but the general consensus is that they are all united by the common fact that they are individuals who mastered the power of the mind through the boundaries of a separate realm of consciousness known as the 'Deep Beyond' and use it as their strength in different ways. Not all Mind weavers are the same. Some have mastered their ability to manipulate magic. Some have mastered their ability to use the void to their advantage. And some have managed to warp reality in its entirety purely with their mind. A spell bends the way it shouldn't. A blade strikes a fraction faster than necessary. A weapon thrums with power untold.

Aetheric Strider

Aetheric Striders are elusive assassins, masters of both the ethereal and the physical realms. Drawing upon the boundless energy of the aether, they strike from the shadows, combining deadly precision with supernatural agility. Wielding a bow and sword in perfect harmony, they can shift effortlessly between long-range precision and devastating melee strikes. Each arrow loosed from their bow hums with psychic energy, while their sword cleaves with necrotic force, sapping the very life from their foes. Their signature ability allows them to teleport through the aether after every strike, closing the gap to deliver fatal blows or retreating into the shadows to line up their next shot. Aetheric Striders are feared assassins, bending time and space to hunt their quarry, leaving nothing but echoes of death in their wake.

So a few things i want to clear up. First, this is not based off or inspired recent events. This was in the works since September the 4th. It was supposed to be released some point after that, but inspiration failed me. And then there was that event that happened in Utah, and it felt like the worst possible time to actually publish it, so i completely decided against it and held off intentionally. Now i'm just gonna say it. Whatever happens happens.

Second. The gigachad who is the inspiration for this series actually published an 8th subclass that is in the works. So for the sake of time and effort, these will no longer be numbered. However, the sequence of events for publication i have in mind will still be done in the order i want them to be. Mind over matter is not supposed to be an episodic story series, rather a sequence of characters with unique quirks and personality that you can interact with and... well. You know.

Thirdly, i must say thank you for your patience. I make this series because i like this stuff and like coming up with creative stories in a world and setting i love.
