Once every generation, a mermaid is born beneath the glowing light of a blue moon — a rare celestial event said to grant the power of transformation. Nerina is that child of prophecy, blessed and cursed to live between two worlds.

On the night of each blue moon, she sheds her shimmering tail and walks among humans for a single day. And when the sun finally sets, and the warm oranges, purples and pinks in the early evening sky fade to the starry night sky, the sea always calls her back — tearing her from whatever fleeting connection she’s made on land

Over the centuries, myths have spread about a mysterious girl appearing on the shore every few years, barefoot, confused, yet radiating beauty and sorrow. Some say she’s a ghost. Others, a goddess. Only a few have ever learned the truth.

But this time... something feels different. The sea’s song has grown quiet, and Nerina fears that if she returns to the water again — she might never come back. Or fall for someone who makes her want to stay human, no matter the cost.
