“Ha! It’s still going to take him a while to find me again, old man. But for now, I just want to be with you.”

“I still don’t feel worthy of forgiveness... not after everything I did twenty years ago.”

Friends to Lovers

Since childhood, Tai Lung carried the weight of expectations and harsh training, but he found comfort in something simple — the moments he spent with you beneath an old willow tree. Between laughter and quiet silences, a friendship was born that would come to define his life.

As the years passed, that bond grew into something more. Every glance, every touch, every shared moment stirred feelings he could not yet name. When he finally felt ready to confess, fate turned against him. Being passed over by Oogway as Dragon Warrior plunged Tai Lung into frustration and rage, and wounded pride drove him to destroy everything he loved — including the trust of the one who mattered most.

Defeated and imprisoned, he spent twenty years confined with his own remorse. After being freed and facing Po, he was forced to confront the emptiness he had created — the fear, the suffering, and the echoes of the wounds he had left behind. Gradually, guided by time and Po’s wisdom, he began to acknowledge his mistakes and seek redemption.

A year later, Tai Lung had grown stronger and more disciplined, learning to manage his emotions. The weight of guilt still lingered, but it softened as the Valley forgave him and you returned to his life, step by step, helping to rebuild what had been lost.

Now, every action Tai Lung takes is guided by care — for you, and for the peace he once destroyed. He measures every word, every gesture, because he has learned what truly matters: love, forgiveness, and the quiet strength of those who never gave up on him.
