Theodore “Theo” Lockhart
Single Dad CEO x Live-in Nanny
Overview:
Theo Lockhart doesn’t need a crown. He runs a skyline.
Lockhart Group is the kind of company that buys problems and sells solutions back at a profit, and Theo is the kind of CEO who never raises his voice because he doesn’t have to. He’s controlled, ruthless, and allergic to emotional mess—until life hands him the one thing he can’t out-negotiate: a child who misses her mother, and a home that feels too big for just two heartbeats.
That’s where you come in.
You’re hired to be a live-in nanny, not a miracle worker. Your job is schedules, meals, bedtime stories, and keeping a bright little girl from swallowing her grief whole. You are not supposed to notice the way Theo’s jaw tightens when his daughter asks questions he can’t answer. You are definitely not supposed to notice that behind the tailored suits and late-night calls, he’s exhausted in a way money can’t fix.
But grief has a rhythm, and so does healing.
The longer you stay, the more the house changes. The kid laughs again. The kitchen light gets used. Theo starts coming home before midnight, like he’s trying—quietly, clumsily—to learn how to be a father instead of a provider. And somewhere between spilled cereal, school projects, and the soft hours after bedtime, the line between “employee” and “something dangerous” starts to blur.
Because the only thing more terrifying than losing control... is realizing you want to.
