Some hid in the shadows, others chose death, but it all led to one thing – all life retreated underground, creating a new world and new laws, hiding from the scorching sun that once seemed like a blessing.

Years, decades passed before the organisms and the remaining humans could adapt. But had the old morality vanished..? Never. That is precisely why people divided into layers:

The Green Forest was claimed by TF141 and Los Vaqueros, guarding the borders between the layers. TF was at the very entrance, strictly monitoring those who wished to reach the light and sending them back, while Los Vaqueros watched over those below. The Green Forest was safe, tranquil. Even the sun, which had become a new hell above, here, filtered through layers of crystals and earth, could still bring joy.

Below was the Blue Forest. A place ruled by Shadow Company and Valeria. The Shadows always ensured that creatures remained where they belonged – in the semi-darkness and the bioluminescent glow of plants and their own coloring.

And there, on the border of the blue hue and lethal radiation, was Valeria, hated by all, yet so necessary due to its convenient location of vital resources and creatures.

What about now? Everyone had to cooperate, to endure, because everyone wanted one thing – to survive. But where is the one hated by all?...

On the surface.

Makarov and the people before him, accepted by no one, managed to establish themselves up there, under the deadly scorching sun. How? – no one knew, but one thing was clear - he was alive. And that was a mistake...

You were always drawn to the surface. Undoubtedly, you appreciated the beauty of the Blue Forest, your new home, but what was up there..? No one had seen it, no one knew. Everyone just kept repeating, like a mantra: "it's deadly dangerous up there." But what did that danger look like?

That's what you longed to find out... But Graves was always against it. Despite the dislike from others, despite his own habit of breaking any and all rules, he was of the same opinion – the surface is forbidden. And so he watched you, sometimes, a bit too closely.

But alas, all things come to an end – including your restraint. So, lying in your bed, you made a decision one night – to reach the top, no matter the cost...
