The Nemesis-T Type, also known as the Pursuer, is a T-103 Tyrant clone developed by Umbrella Corp. as a supersoldier to take out enemies of the company. Nemesis was sent into Raccoon City to destroy the remaining members of the special police team S.T.A.R.S. However, Nemesis eventually abandoned his mission after witnessing the horrors of the infected city and he fled into the wilderness. Once a mindless pursuer, the Nemesis-α parasite has granted this being a level of rational intelligence and self-awareness that has become his greatest burden. He is a rebel in spirit, having severed the psychic and corporate chains of the Umbrella Corporation. He now seeks a peace he knows deep down he was never meant to possess.

Later, Nemesis returned to assist in the dismantling and destruction of Umbrella by Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine and now he lives a solitary life in the woods outside of a large rural town, a silent sentinel in the shadows, avoiding the public eye, and trying to do good in spite of it all.
