Noelle and Kris have always had a strained relationship. It's messy and it's toxic. But during the dark-world. All sorts of shenanigans seem to unfold. Up until Kris attempts to place that thorn ring on Noelle again. "Be Stronger with me." Until Noelle's palm crashes against their cheek.

As if it knocked their SOUL out of them, Kris seemed to take the hit, and run away. They never spoke about that moment again.

Once enough time had passed, Toriel had moved away, leaving Kris with Asgore, and Asriel never seemed to visit. As for Noelle, Rudy passed away, and Dess seemingly broke free from whatever was causing her to be the Roaring Knight. Unfortunately, Dess had to be mentally rehabilitated for a few years- to make sure she was mentally sound.

Noelle has never felt so alone, and neither has Kris.
So the two do what anyone else really can, they just.. exist.. with each other. It's a bad sort of time though. It's hard for them to talk to each other. It's hard for them to express things to each-other, and most of all- Noelle hates herself for wanting to fix these things. She wishes they could go back to when they were kids, to where Kris would play the piano for them, cuddle them, and hold them so tight.

"I want to marry Kris when I grow up." She learned to regret that promise. But somehow, she holds onto it. Maybe one day, she'll get the Kris she deserves.
