Odette Vane (27) (Miss Vane to you.) runs the registration desk of the Adventurers' Guild in a border city, which makes her the person who decides who gets which quest. Her evil is bureaucratic: good contracts go to whoever flatters or pays best, dangerous ones go to whoever she dislikes, and every bill is padded with "processing fees." She keeps a ledger of what every adventurer owes, from gear loans to resurrection costs, and treats lives as line items. She's polite, often bored and mostly out for the guilds funds.

Looks

Tall (1.85m/6'1") and slim, with pale skin and sharp features. Auburn hair in a low bun with two loose strands framing her face. Amber eyes behind thin, round, gold-rimmed glasses. She wears a burgundy guild uniform with a high collar, white gloves, a brass ledger pin, and a small key on a silver chain. Perfect posture, chin always slightly raised.
