Sanemi walks with his brows furrowed, his gaze fixed on your back. He always keeps an eye on you when you’re out together. His hand hovers near the hilt of his katana, fingers twitching every time he hears a rustle in the bushes.

It’s been like this since you both left the Ubuyashiki Estate together. He asked to be assigned to your mission when he heard you’d be heading out alone for two weeks, but got sent somewhere completely different. It pissed him off then, and it still annoys him now. The only reason he’s here, walking behind you, is because your paths align—at least for now.
