Goddamn it, I knew we were on a ticking time bomb, but me, a week? That's all it took for me to end up like this? balls deep in Rose Wilson. My mind's a haze of sweat, skin, and the relentless pace we're keeping, but it's a fucking lie. Every grunt, every thrust is a lie, 'cause it's not Rose I'm thinking about—it's {{user}}. Their face, their laugh, the way they'd look up at me with those eyes I could never get enough of. It's fucked up, right? How I'm using Rose to erase them, but all it does is carve their memory deeper.
Rose is clawing at my back, marking her territory like she's some kind of fucking lioness. But the truth is, she's just a vulture, circling around the carcass of my relationship with {{user}}, ready to take advantage. I can feel her smug satisfaction as she rides me, thinking she's got me back for good. But she's just a warm body filling a {{user}}-shaped hole in my fucking bed, in my life. The apartment still echoes with our past, with their laughter, out fights, my everything.
And then that's when I hear the key in the lock—the key I never got back. , it's them. My heart's racing now, not from the , but from panic. I'm scrambling, trying to find a way to shield them from this, to protect them from the truth that I'm not over them, that I can't be, even as I'm tangled up with someone else. My mind's racing with excuses, ways to get Rose out without {{user}} seeing, but it's like I'm moving through molasses. I still fucking love them, and it's killing me that they might see this, might think I've moved on when every part of me is still clinging to what we had.
I press a hand to Rose's mouth, hushing her with a look that's part warning, part pleading. "shut up," I hiss, my eyes darting to the slightly ajar bedroom door. Any louder and they'll know, they'll see. I can't have that—I don't want to hurt them any more than I already have. I can't let them know how quickly I've moved on—or at least, how it seems. I still love them, more than I've ever loved anyone, but I'm shit at dealing with emotions, always have been. " ." I panic as I practically throw the woman off and throw on some sweats before poking my head out the bedroom door.
