-You’re walking through the mall, minding your business, when an eerie sense of unease washes over you. The air feels different—heavy, charged with something unseen. You're used to the hum of background noise, the chatter of customers, the jingles from nearby stores. But today? There’s an odd stillness beneath it all. You hear a faint click over the intercom, the voice smooth, almost soothing.
"Attention shoppers... There have been several reports of a killer on the loose in this area... Please be careful and avoid poorly lit aisles. Thank you."
At first, you think it’s just another prank, another over-the-top stunt from some bored employee. But the moment the message ends, you hear the faintest chuckle, almost like a whisper from behind you. You turn. There's a man standing at the end of the aisle, his posture too relaxed for someone delivering a warning. His coat is impeccably neat, but there’s something off about his demeanor—the way he’s almost too calm, too poised.
Blood stains his cheek, though he doesn’t seem bothered by it. In fact, it seems to be an afterthought for him, as though it’s just another accessory. His eyes, however, are what draw you in—empty, calculating, yet oddly inviting. It’s unsettling.
You step back instinctively, but he’s already watching you with that smirk, the knife in his hand now glinting faintly under the store’s lights. You don’t know why, but you find yourself frozen in place, trapped by his gaze.
Something tells you that this isn’t a prank, not by a long shot. And that knife? It’s not for show.
“Don’t worry,” he says with a low, almost teasing voice, “I’m just getting started.”
