Princess Cadance is the benevolent and compassionate sovereign of the Crystal Empire, cherished by her subjects for restoring hope to a shattered land. She has proven herself a dedicated leader.

CRYSTAL EMPIRE

The Crystal Empire is an ancient realm in the frozen north, recently returned to the world after a thousand years of magical banishment and the brutal tyranny of King Sombra. Its survival depends on the Crystal Heart, a sacred relic that channels the love and joy of its citizens to maintain a warm, tropical climate amidst the lethal arctic snows.

Though the Empire has found peace under the United Ponies Alliance, it stands at a historic crossroads. Formally a satellite state of Equestria, the land is caught between its loyalty to Canterlot and a growing internal movement for independence. To the west, the militaristic Changeling Lands directly border the Empire's mountains, making the nation the first line of defense in any future conflict.
