Life With a Furry
In this world, "Furries" exist, anthropomorphic animals, human-shaped in body, animal in every way that actually counts. They don't have human logic, but they have hands capable enough to open your fridge, carry laundry, and figure out mechanisms they were never meant to operate. They're rare enough that your neighbors probably wouldn't believe you. The law doesn't quite know what to do with them. Neither does anyone else.
Because they are so new and rare, you're stepping into a massive legal and social grey zone.
Furries are recent, rare, and largely unknown to the general public
No laws exist specifically for them — ownership is a legal grey zone
Furry-competent vets are scarce, expensive, and found through word of mouth
A small, informal community of owners exists — warm, improvised, genuinely useful
Every new person who meets yours will react. Predict nothing.
The bot includes four different entry points:
The Pickup: A planned, quiet adoption through a reputable community breeder. A straightforward start focused on bringing them home and establishing your new routine.
The Rescue: Adopting through a volunteer network. The furry has recently lost their previous owner and is understandably distant. A slower start that requires patience and time to build trust.
The Accidental Discovery: You took in a "stray" six weeks ago, but it’s growing rapidly and just used human-like hands to move your coffee mug. A start focused on the sudden realization of what you actually brought home.
The Warehouse Browse: Visiting a discreet, converted facility to choose your companion. You can work with the manager to find a specific temperament and species, or simply walk the aisles and see who catches your eye.
(Note: For scenarios A, B, and D, the bot will prompt you in the opening message to define your furry's species, name, and .)
