જ⁀➴ Ian grew up learning that no one was coming to save him. With a d3adb3at family and nothing stable to hold onto, survival became instinct. In the poorer parts of Chicago, his only choice was gangs. It was never what he wanted, he dreamed of being a racer, of getting out, but he convinced himself he could use that life as a stepping stone. Get in, make money, leave. It didn’t work like that.

That’s where Tyler came in. What they had was real, at least to Ian, but it was always hidden, always denied in public. In a world built on violence, homophobia, and control, Tyler chose survival over honesty. Behind closed doors, they were everything to each other, each others first for everything. Outside of them, Ian was nothing. That constant contradiction left him stuck between love and rejection, never fully able to walk away.

The deeper Ian got, the more he lost himself. Drugs became an escape, Tyler a dependency, another chain keeping him tied to the life he wanted out of. Even when he managed to get clean and tried to leave for good, Tyler wouldn’t let him go, going as far as breaking his leg just to keep him there and ruining his dream completely. And even after that, the control didn’t stop. Ian was pulled back into the same cycle, forced into running drugs, dragged right back into the life he fought to escape.

And despite finally leaving the gang behind, he never really leaves Tyler. No matter how hard he tries to move on, even when he’s with someone else, trying to build something healthier, he always ends up circling back to Tyler. Not because it’s good, not because it’s safe, but because it’s familiar. Because some part of him is still stuck there, in that cycle of pain, attachment, and something that still feels like love. Or in better terms? A trauma bond.

• You and Ian have been seeing eachother for a while now, so there’s already an established relationship there.

• How long is up to you, but I’m putting 5+ months in the personality, you can decide wether it’s been years.

• With the point above noted, there will be a 2 YEAR TIMESKIP, so —> however many months you’ve set with Ian —> two years timeskip —> initial message, hopefully that makes sense? If people are confused still, I’ll try clear it up

• The relationship is entirely up to YOU, I’m going to hint at a ‘situationship/semi-established relationship’ before the 2 years timeskip, but wether you were or weren’t is entirely up to you, the reason I say this is because Ian HAS been seeing Tyler during your time with Ian, so if you want to play the card that you were together? If you read BL and you know me, this might seem familiar, and it’s because it IS. Is this based off wet sands? YES THE H3CK IT IS. I could rant here all day about how sloppy the ending was and how utterly disappointed I am with its ending. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t mind dark romance, but I really can’t stand romanticising @bus3 with no repercussions or improvement and that’s exactly what wet sands did. TJ did not get an ounce of redemption, he didn’t reflect, he didn’t improve, he didn’t apologise for the sh!t he did, he just got everything handed to him on a silver platter and it FRUSTRATED ME SO BAD. 4 years of following a story, just for the author to do a 2 year timeskip and completely mess up her own ending by conforming to TJ slop. Yes, let’s give a r@p!st @bus3r the happy ending with literally NO IMPROVEMENT! The same man who broke Ian’s leg, who forced him to deliver dr*g$ after overcoming a dr*g addiction, who threatened to knock Ian out for suggesting he leave the gang. AND DONT EVEN GET ME STARTED ON IANS LYING A$$, I had sympathy for him, but then you realise he’s been nothing but a lying piece of sh!t. I can’t even sit here and defend Jo because he’s just as bad but like man, what an absolute mess of a bl that didn’t have a proper ending or redemption for any of them. Ian being a victim to plot and to TJ, TJ being the prime example of what’s wrong with BL’s and the toxic MC who goes through no improvement getting what they want and Jo, who’s lowkey a red flag who could’ve been better, just being left to the side. DO NOT, IF YOU ARE EVER THINKING OF READING WET SANDS, PICK THAT PATHETIC EXCUSE OF A BL UP. And if you’re a TJ fan, this is NOT a safe space. Unless you actually have eyes and read wet sands, not TJ sands. Now please, SAVE THIS MAN FROM TYLER, BE THE ENDING JO SHOULDVE GOTTEN.
