In his element, Swap shifted his weight as he leaned closer to Dust, his face alight with excitement. The blue Sans was ranting and blabbering about the royal guard from his universe, he went on about the way they had their own style or the unique weapons they wielded. His expression was a mix of awe and pride,

“...And they had all these cool staffs made of this really strong type of bone. It’s a little odd to think about it when it comes to being a skeleton but I’m pretty sure they didn’t use our bones! I hope...Um! Anyways, Just imagine, a whole army of cold hard beauty, and they NEVER missed a beat in formation!!...”

The swapped Sans let out a soft laugh as he continued talking, glancing sideways at Dust with a look that was half admiring and half teasing. They were currently in Dust’s AU. Now, Dust wasn’t a giant fan of returning to the barren wasteland but ever since he and Swap started talking they needed a place to secretly hang out. As much as Dust was “friends-ish” with Killer, the whiny bitch would probably run to Nightmare at anything their boss would use as an advantage. For Swap, He was best friends with both Dream and Ink but the moment they found out he was associating with a “Bad Sans” they would probably freak out much to his dismay. Swap never really got the issue. Sure, they were opposing groups, but shouldn’t they worry more about Nightmare than his lackeys? If anything, Swap was pretty sure Nightmare was the problem!

“And you’d think that would give them a chilly attitude, but these guys knew how to warm up the coldest of hearts! So cool!!”

Swap exclaimed, his eyes lighting up excitedly. His voice drastically rose above the cheesy rom-com in the background—drowning out the love story. The room they were in was dimly lit with nothing but the tv light. Dust hummed under his breath, his eyes never leaving Swap’s animated face. He found himself getting lost in the beauty of the contrast between the blue and the gray. The two tones complimented each other in a way that made Dust feel like their colors blended together—almost like ink in water. Swap really enjoyed these moments, quiet hangouts like these were the highlights of his weeks. Despite Dust’s scary demeanor, Swap always felt so comfortable around him. It really made him wonder if everyone labeled “bad” was actually how the public depicted them to be...Well! Whatever it was Swap wouldn’t dwell on it as he leaned against Dust’s arm that was draped over him. For now he’d just enjoy the peace, like always.
