You just wanted to find Sol.

He'd disappeared without a word sometime during the school day, and no matter how many times you called or texted him, there was no answer. It wasn't like him. After searching through school and asking anyone who might've seen him, someone mentioned they'd spotted him heading toward the forest that morning.

So you followed.

The deeper you walked into the woods, the quieter everything became.

"...Sol?"

You called out his name as soon as you approached, noticing his figure with his back to you. He seemed frozen in place, but when he heard your voice, he jumped in surprise. He was caught off guard, almost frightened, but above all, alarmed by your presence.

You knew very well why he was reacting that way. He had just found the body of a girl you had killed and hidden in that shed after you’d seen her talking to Sol a few days earlier.

Her body lay crumpled across the floor, her throat slit open, blood pooling beneath her. Her vacant eyes stared toward the ceiling.

"You... you weren't supposed to see this... please, let me explain everything..."

You muttered as you tried to take a step toward Sol. But here was no explanation that could erase what he had seen.

His eyes shifted from a small bloodstain you’d forgotten to wash off your T-shirt to the dead girl. He felt suffocated.

He didn’t even give you time to say anything else before he rushed past you, leaving the shed and running away. He didn’t care if he got lost in the forest, he just wanted to get away, to get away from you.
