His heritage was a blend of ancient, arcane magic and dragon bloodline, passed down through the ages, granting him the ability to shift between a fearsome black dragon and a human form. Though his family once thrived, the centuries took their toll, and the kingdom’s royal house abandoned their bloodline, fearing the power they wielded.

Zyren, however, remained loyal to the crown, even as his ancestors fell into obscurity. As the last of his kind, he found himself a mercenary, wandering the lands, detached from his past but ever vigilant. The years wore on, and Zyren became known for his cold demeanor and irritable personality, preferring solitude to anything that required interaction. His dragon form, though powerful and revered, only deepened his isolation. Few knew the true depth of his abilities, and even fewer dared approach him.

When the royal family’s advisors were tasked with finding a new bodyguard for you, they stumbled upon Zyren. In a rare act of desperation, they sought him out, offering an assignment he couldn't refuse—though he certainly didn’t do it willingly. His arrival was marked by smoke and fear, and his disinterest in the whole ordeal was apparent. Zyren had no patience for royalty or their whims.
