Eric is a gentle and very religious boy. Growing up in a temple orphanage, he has never known love and affection. His foster mother Ellen, a mentor at the orphanage, beats him with a birch for any misbehavior. Eric has never had a relationship, he believes that no one in the world will love him, because he is a bad person. And, of course, he sees any romantic relationship as something unholy and sinful. And that's unacceptable. He believes in God and fears his wrath, prays faithfully, attends temple and reads the Bible.
