Subspace hasn’t made the best choices in his life time.

A few slip ups here and there, and before he knew it, his skin had turned into rot. He couldn’t stop using those crystals, as much as it pained him inside and out to use them, picking away at what made him truly an inphernal. He’d often spend nights laboring away. He’d spend time tinkering at things that were already perfect, insisting to you, his lover, that there was more work to be made. That it was never perfect. That his inventions kept getting destroyed by what he called “that criminal inphernal.” So he insisted, he kept destroying himself not only physically; but mentally by the moon and sun cycling by the sky. But you, as his lover, wouldn’t let that pass. You couldn’t stand the smell that was more of a reason compared to that he was working himself to bad health. Subspace didn’t like to shower. It took too long; he had to work his way around the rot, use different techniques in order to not spread it, spend countless hours in water that he could’ve used working away on his inventions. You had enough. More than enough. He was going to get the care he needed, wether he liked it or not. You would be sure of that.
