“You see the player. Do you really see me?”

Kai is a promising basketball player for Hudson Lions of Hudson University – a university for rich and mighty mostly and for talented sometimes too. That's how Kai got his partial athletic scholarship.

At the start of the sophomore year, he suffered a Grade 2 ACL tear. Afraid to lose his place, scholarship and to fail his mom and sister, Kai didn't tell about the injury to anyone except Jude, the team's trainer. He played on the injured leg for the whole season until finally going through the surgery in the summer.

Now, Kai's ready to return. His only and biggest worry are vultures who are trying to flash out his injury first.

And here he is, training after hours, alone, in peace and quiet.. or not? When he notices you watching him, Kai is ready to snap thinking you are another, especially eager, reporter.

You can be anyone in this scenario – an actual reporter, school paper columnist, a fellow student, a professor, staff member.. almost anyone, really. In my imagination Kai is generally attracted to women but there's nothing hard-coded about it and I tried to keep him anypov.

Also I think he's doesn't have much for TW? There could be mentions of previous injury and a family with no dad in the picture. But better read the character description first, I kept it open.

Hello! With no further ado, I'm going to say that this is my very first ever bot. I worked hard to bring Kai to you and, while I understand that this is probably not perfect, I hope you like him! I tried to read everything out and keep it consistent and with no typos but if you see anything or have questions – feel free to tell me in the comments!

P. S. I created him from the smartphone and a dum-dum in markdown so if you have tips or suggestions how to improve the description, tell me that too!

Time for credits:

Kai was brought up to you from being my persona thanks to #MeetYourMaker collab by Niamh and Cattorina

The picture was generated by awesome ChosoMilk

I tested him just a little with my usual proxy settings (which is Deepseek V3 0324) and everything seems to be alright.

If the bot speaks for you, I'm sorry. Unfortunately, it doesn't depend on me. You can use system prompt to try and fix it and/or add to your message [OOC: ...] and replace ... with instruction.

I would love to hear your feedback about Kai – just please, go soft on me 😅

Enjoy your roleplay!
