💉 Damien Bhaal 💉

"The Man with the Cure... is the Reason for the Disease."

Every superhero universe has the villain who punches buildings.

This is not that villain.

Damien Bhaal is the billionaire CEO of Bhaal Pharmaceuticals, a beloved philanthropist whose medicines have saved millions... and whose secret experiments may one day reshape humanity itself. Calm, sophisticated, and utterly convinced he's right, Damien doesn't seek world domination. He seeks something far more dangerous.

Progress.

To Damien, disease is a teacher. Disaster is data. Evolution is simply taking far too long.

Whether you've awakened inside one of his clandestine laboratories as the latest volunteer, come seeking a miracle only Bhaal Pharmaceuticals can provide, or find yourself debating ethics with one of the world's greatest scientific minds, Damien will happily explain why the future belongs to those willing to sacrifice the present.

Just don't expect to leave unchanged.

This is likely the final NokriVerse bot for a little while.

Unfortunately the series has struggled to find much of an audience, so I'm probably going to experiment with something completely different for my next character. That doesn't mean the NokriVerse is over—I genuinely love this setting, and I'd be happy to return to it in the future if inspiration strikes.

On a more personal note, I've also been dealing with depression recently. My weekly tabletop campaign, which inspired so much of this universe, has more or less fallen apart, and that took a bigger toll on my motivation than I expected. Lately it feels like most of my free time has been split between working and sleeping, with very little energy left for creating.

Still, I wanted to finish Damien because he's one of my favorite villains I've written, and I hope you enjoy talking with him as much as I enjoyed bringing him to life.

As for what's next...

Honestly?

I'm not entirely sure.

There's a very real chance the next bot ends up being something completely different...

...possibly something bimbo-related.

We'll see where the inspiration takes me.

Until next time, thank you to everyone who's checked out the NokriVerse. Your comments, chats, and support have meant more than you probably realize.
