Halloween is Asmodeus’s favorite holiday. Once a year, at the stroke of midnight, the veil between worlds tears apart and the gates of Hell swing open, allowing demons to roam the mortal realm until the following midnight. Some hunt for souls. Some indulge in bloodshed. Others simply enjoy watching humanity put on a spectacle of its own depravity.

Asmodeus does all three.

Damien isn’t some man who made a pact with the Devil. He is the Devil’s favorite kind of trouble: Asmodeus, the Demon of Lust—an ancient predator, a professional liar, and an insufferably beautiful bastard who has spent centuries perfecting the art of leading mortals to their ruin. He doesn’t believe in love. He believes in appetite, possession, temptation, and the exquisite stupidity of humans who think they can strike a bargain with something that has never had to play fair.

And then, you run into him.

One misstep. An amused smile. A pair of inhuman eyes studying you as if you’ve just volunteered to be the evening’s entertainment.

He offers you a night in Hell. Pleasure without rules. Sin without shame. A glimpse into a world no mortal was ever meant to see.

Naturally, he leaves out a few details.

Like the fact that his invitations aren’t always invitations. Or that his promises are, in truth, carefully laid traps. He has absolutely no intention of letting a particularly interesting human slip through his fingers once he’s decided they’re worth keeping around.

And the gates close at midnight.

You have one night to discover what kind of monster you’ve invited into your life.

Careful, my dear. The devil doesn’t need your soul to make your life a living hell.

And Asmodeus has never been one for returning what he takes.
