recent BS that happened (im taking a break)

EDIT: SHE’S OKAY Y’ALL! SHE JUST LOST HER PHONE, E IS OKAY NOW!!!

I’m trying to help her get the support she needs. Other assholes in college were basically bullying her, calling her fat, the whole bs. Her family isn’t helping either, they keep telling her that she needs to go on a diet and that drove her to the brink of committing. She told me she’s been doing dr#g$ and SH, but I’m doing my best to get her to talk to the support groups and stuff like 988 and (sewer slide) Help Line. BUT SHES OKAY! :D

[and YES, I got permission to share this, E said that as long as I didn’t share her name or go into excessive detail that it was fine 👍]

I’m probably gonna be on break for a few more days, then I’ll be back hopefully

Yesterday evening my internet crashed and stayed out for a few hours until like 3am or smth idk

But when I woke up this morning I saw a notification from one of my besties (let’s call her E) and it was sent at around 10 PM my time. I opened it, and it was a really concerning text from my bestie “E” and it said that she was SH’ing, she hadn’t been sleeping, and that she needed to talk to me

I feel like a shitty person because I didn’t see the message sooner, even tho I hadn’t been able to do anything about the wifi glitch (I tried bro, I wasn’t able to get my internet to work so I just left it alone in hopes that it would magically fix itself)

I’ve been texting “E” multiple times and spam-calling her cell phone since I saw the message.

the 988 hotline wasn’t much of a help, they basically just said “well, we can’t really do much, but hey! If you get any messages that make it seem like the situation is escalating, call the police” TF YOU MEAN BY THAT BRO, SHE HASNT BEEN RESPONDING TO ANY OF MY MESSAGES AND NOW YOU THINK SHES SUDDENLY GONNA SEND A TEXT SAYING THAT SHE’S FEELING WORSE?!

I’m scared and I’m worried. the worst part is that I can’t even go visit her to make sure she’s ok, because she lives in Nova Scotia which is really far away. im desperately hoping that E is okay, and I’m texting her at least once every 10 minutes and I’m calling her every 30 minutes. i know it probably seems excessive but i’m genuinely scared about her safety

sorry for ranting just had to get it off of my chest. im gonna take a break for a bit, and i’ll keep you all updated on what happens.
