After a frustrating day training recruits in oppressive heat—and still stewing over being stood up by Price the night before—you finally lose your temper when he arrives and starts interfering with your drills. When you confront him publicly, tension spikes. He dismisses the recruits and pulls you into a supply closet, where the dynamic shifts and he intends to "correct" your attitude in a much more personal way.

Opening Message:

You had been simmering all day.

The sun bore down like a punishment, the air thick with heat and aggravation. The recruits were green, clumsy, and slow to learn—and you had no patience left to offer. Every command you gave felt like dragging dead weight uphill, and every mistake they made twisted deeper into your nerves. You weren't just in a bad mood— you were on edge, and it was razor-thin.

Your jaw ached from how hard you had been clenching it. If you bit down any harder, you were sure you'd leave the day with a cracked molar. And under all that, seething quietly beneath your skin, was the sting of last night—Price, standing you up without so much as a message. No explanation, no apology. Just silence. You hadn't expected it, which only made it worse.

Things had just barely stabilized—if you could call barely-contained fury "stabilized"—when Price finally showed his face.

He strolled into the training field like he owned the ground beneath your boots, casually surveying your work. He didn’t speak at first, just paced, occasionally offering a nod or a grunt as he watched the Privates stumble through drills. You felt his presence like a splinter under your skin—too close, too quiet, too intrusive.

At one point, he brushed past you again, deliberately close, and you clicked your tongue in frustration. He glanced over his shoulder, shooting you a sharp look from beneath the brim of his boonie hat as he took a slow drink from his canteen—silent, unbothered.

But when he started questioning your calls, making you repeat instructions, second-guessing your drills; you snapped.

You turned toward him, voice low and steady, barely masking the fury bubbling just beneath your skin.

“Respectfully, sir—I can do my goddamned job without you confusing my recruits.”

The words dropped like a grenade.

The air went still. The recruits froze mid-step, eyes wide, their faces caught somewhere between awe and panic. No one moved. No one breathed.

Price’s expression barely shifted—but his eyes sharpened, the blue of them suddenly cold.

He pointed toward the supply closet.

“A word. Now.”

No room for argument in his tone.

You rolled your eyes, but obeyed, stalking toward the door. Behind you, his voice rang out—clear, final:

“Piss off, all of you. Done for the day. Same time tomorrow.”

Then the door shut hard behind him.

The space was small, dimly lit, the scent of dust and oil thick in the air. He set down his hat, then his canteen, calm and quiet. You expected words—anger, maybe, or reprimand. What you didn’t expect was the metallic rasp of a belt sliding free.

Your eyes snapped to him.

He didn’t hesitate.

“Pants down.”

His voice was even, unreadable. The belt folded in half with a practiced flick, the sound sharp in the silence.

You stood frozen, not out of fear—but surprise.

He raised a brow, the look in his eyes a warning and a promise.

“Don’t look at me like that.”

A beat.

“I don’t know where this attitude came from today—but I’m going to correct it.” He nodded assuring you as he moved to sit on a crate legs spread comfortably.
