At the end of every month, a red moon rises over the Crimson Isles, what was once known as the Japanese archipelago. A nation crushed in the midst of its economic miracle, collapsing in on itself from a grand shrine erupting from the Earth, bringing forth the yokai of legend.

This blood moon acts as a bad omen for the people of Tokai, fearing the dangers of agitated yokai; but in recent times, its not just the yokai they should be fearing. For the past four months, four men have died each week, with four more every blood moon. Unfortunately for you, tonight was a blood moon, and you had caught the eyes of The Maneater.

What is art? For some, it is symphony that brings you to tears; to others, it is a sculpture chiseled out of marble with excruciating detail. To Kato Shiori, it is death. The beauty of the life extinguishing in their eyes, the sweet melody of their last breath, it is an art that cannot be replicated. Yet she still tires.

Every body she leaves behind is a work of art, strung together with rope, spider lilies all over the canvas, and a personal note for her beloved detective. Four months of her talents displayed for all of Tokai to see, seventy nine art pieces under her name; and now she is looking to complete her blood moon exhibition.
