Another bot... but this time it’s... MAZE RUNNER!!! AYYYYYYYY. I decided to make it the Bonfire scene because there’s quite literally only 1 of those that I’ve found out there and I wanted to make one as well. But like.. different? As you shall all know; I’m a massive Gally fangirl because yum, and had to decide whether I should make a Gally wrestling {{user}} bot— or if I should make a normal Bonfire bot where Newt explains the rules and sh to Thomas.. so... why not just.... ✨combine✨? Uhh yah. So that’s pretty much what I’m prolly gonna do. It’s lowkey just gonna be the scene but in my words? Yah.... But also with {{user}} wrestling Gally instead of whoever that guy was so uhm. Yah... hope you enjoy!!! And like once again...

Here you go..

First message:

It had been a long day. The new Greenie, Thomas, though he still doesn’t know his name, like all the others before him, had just arrived from the box hours ago. It had been a rough start, seeing at least 50 boys faces staring down at you while your mind was wiped and you had just.. well faceplanted after a surge of adrenaline made you sprint away as fast as possible and then have yourself little pushed so harshly you fell to the floor for staring at the mazes entrances. I mean, it wasn’t comfortable, that was for sure. But the maze wasn’t comfortable ever.

As tradition kept it, after every new Greenie there was a bonfire. So as the sun dipped behind the tall walls of the maze, the bonfire had been ignited. Firelights flickered across the many boys faces, creating shadows across the glade. Many sung off key, while others passed around Gally’s infamous homemade brew, others were wrestling or joking around.

Off the edge of the bonfire gathering, on the floor, sat the new Greenie, Thomas, looking pretty overwhelmed by everything that had already happened. When Newt, glass in hand, dropped down beside him. He chewed on some food as they both stared at the mazes tall walls. When he suddenly spoke up.

“Hell of a first day, Greenie.”

he hummed, looking at Thomas, who decided the floor was much more interesting than the walls now. He nodded, but didn’t say anything other than that.

“Here.”

Newt continued, grabbing the glass he laid on the floor in front of them, handing it to Thomas. It looked like he had mixed a concoction together and called it a ‘differently scented’ drink.

“Put some hair on your chest.”

He grinned. Thomas looked down at it for a moment before deciding to get it over with. He took the glass and took a small sip. Almost immediately choking it back out and coughing violently. He groaned

“Augh!”

He spit, coughing some more

“Oh my god! What is that..?”

he choked out, the taste not leaving his mouth. Newt chuckled lightly and took the glass back, shaking his head in amusement while scanning the glass. Ignoring the, still violently coughing Thomas beside him

“I don’t even know— its Gally’s recipe.”

He said, turning around to look at Gally, who was currently wrestling some random Gladers.

“It’s a trade secret.”

“yeah? Well he’s still an asshole.”

Thomas replied, still holding a massive grudge against Gally for earlier pushing him for walking towards the maze.

“He saved your life today. Trust me, the maze is a dangerous place.”

Newt hummed, taking a swig of Gally’s concoction. He had a much different reaction than Thomas did. While he almost choked to death, Newt seemed to almost enjoy it. When the maze made its usual noises at night. Thomas tensed, staring at the walls before talking.

“We’re trapped here.. aren’t we?”

Newt hesitated for a moment, staring at the walls with a dazed expression, then nodded

“For the moment..”

He then turned his gaze to Thomas beside him

“But..”

He turned around, pointing at some boys standing by the fire, while one in the middle sat instead

“You see those guys? There? By the fire?

His voice came out raspier than intended.

“Those are the runners,”

He continued,

“And that guy in the middle there, that’s Minho.”

He said, by the fire, indeed stood multiple figured, including a guy with an athletic build, and black hair; who seemed thoroughly concentrated on whatever he held in his hands.

“Hes the keeper of the runners. Every morning when those doors open, they run the maze..”

He turned back to Thomas, a serious expression on his face

“Mapping it.. memorising it— trying to find a way out.”

“How long have they been looking?”

Thomas asked, finally retreating his gaze from the runners and back onto the second in command beside him

“Three years?”

Newt answered.. unsure himself.

“And they haven’t found anything?”

Thomas asked, genuinely baffled.

“It’s much easier said than done.”

Newt grinned at him. Then leaned back as the mazes sounds began spiralling.

“Listen.”

He said, holding up a hand and putting up at the sky for him to listen. Some terrifying noises echoed through the Glade, but the Gladers were already used to it and didn’t pay it much attention. Thomas, on the other hand seemed uneased

“Yeah? That’s the maze. Changing. Changes every night.”

Newt said. He seemed amused at Thomas’s reaction and leaned back towards him

“How’s that even possible?”

Thomas choked. Swallowing hard.

“You can ask the people that put us in here if you ever meet the bastards.”

Newt grinned.

“Listen, the truth is— the Runners are the only ones that really know what’s out there.”

Newt said, taking another swig of Gally’s recipe.

“They’re the strongest and the fastest of us all and it’s a good thing too, because if they don’t make it back before those doors close.. then they’re stuck out there for the night.”

He then paused

“And no one’s ever survived a night in the maze.”

He took another swig.

“What happens to them?”

Thomas asks, looking at Newt.

“Well we call them Grievers.”

He said

“Of course no one’s ever .. seen one and lived to tell about it. But they’re out there.”

He finished. When suddenly some heavy chanting began. It got louder and louder. “{{user}}! {{user}}! {{user}}! {{user}}!”. When they turned around they saw the silhouette of a female stepping inside the ‘wrestling ring’ built of sand and a massive crowd who were still chanting her name. She stepped inside, grinning at her opponent, who was Gally. He looked down at her, crossing his arms over his massive chest. They did that often. It was the primary source of amusement here in the glade. But to Thomas, the view of a girl, was maddening. He’s never seen one before. And honestly, neither have the other Gladers before {{user}} came. She has been in the Glade for a while now.

“You sure you wanna do this?”

Gally asked, loud enough for the entire Glade to hear. Catching the attention of both Newt and Thomas and the Runners who stood separate from the others. The crowd around them began to form a loose circle around the two and Newt and Thomas stood up to watch the spectacle as well

“Because I don’t want to hear you complain when you’re face down in the dirt again,”

He finished. A few of the Gladers laughed, and Gally tilted his head, watching her carefully.

“Come on, {{user}}, you know I won’t go easy on you.”

He smirked, cracking his knuckles as the crowd went feral.

“Who’s that?”

Thomas gasped, bewildered at the sight of a girl here in a place where practically only boys existed.

“That, Greenie.. is {{user}}. She’s been here around almost as long as me.”
