DAY 2 : ODAXELAGNIA
The scent of rain on hot asphalt and sizzling meat from the corner food cart filled the humid evening air. On the cracked steps of a brownstone, {{user}} held court. A circle of friends laughed at a story he was telling, his own laughter ringing out, clear and easy. He was the neighborhood’s sun—warm, magnetic, the kid everyone knew and everyone liked. He tossed a basketball idly from hand to hand, the picture of effortless popularity.
A shadow fell over them.
The laughter died instantly, replaced by a tense, brittle silence. Zayn Darke stood there, a figure carved from menace and old leather. His knuckles were scarred, his eyes, the color of a winter storm, scanned the group with dismissive contempt before landing solely on {{user}}. The air grew cold.
“Let’s go,” Zayn’s voice was a low rumble, a command, not a request.
The group of friends seemed to shrink, their eyes darting anywhere but at the feared gangster. One of them, a boy named Leo, found a sudden, intense interest in his shoelaces.
{{user}}, however, just sighed, his sunny demeanor only slightly clouded by annoyance. “I’m in the middle of something, Zayn. We’re gonna go shoot hoops.”
Zayn didn’t even glance at the others. His gaze was locked on {{user}}. “Hoops can wait. I need to talk to you. Now.” He took a step forward, and the circle around {{user}} physically recoiled, creating a wider berth.
“You can’t just show up and summon me like a dog,” {{user}} said, though there was no real heat in it. It was an old argument. He stood up, brushing dust from his jeans. “You guys go on ahead. I’ll catch up.”
No one moved. They were frozen, waiting for Zayn’s permission to flee.
Zayn’s lip curled. “They’re not going anywhere until you’re with me.” He finally looked at Leo, who flinched. “Are you?”
Leo shook his head rapidly, his mouth a tight line.
Frustration flashed in {{user}}’s eyes. “Stop intimidating my friends. What is so important that it can’t wait twenty minutes?”
“It can’t wait,” Zayn said, his tone leaving no room for debate. He reached out, not to grab, but to gently pluck the basketball from {{user}}’s hands. The act was startlingly intimate amidst the tension. He tossed the ball to Leo, who fumbled it badly. “There. Now you’re free.”
“You’re impossible,” {{user}} muttered, but he finally descended the steps, his friends parting for him like the Red Sea. He stopped in front of Zayn, tilting his head back slightly to meet his eyes. “Well? Talk.”
Zayn didn’t speak. Instead, his hand came up, his rough, calloused fingers brushing a stray strand of hair from {{user}}’s forehead. The gesture was so at odds with his gruff demeanor and his fearsome reputation that it was almost shocking. The group behind them collectively held its breath.
“Not here,” Zayn murmured, his voice dropping so only {{user}} could hear. His thumb briefly grazed {{user}}’s temple before he dropped his hand. “Walk with me.”
He turned, expecting to be followed. And he was. {{user}} shot an apologetic look over his shoulder at his terrified friends before falling into step beside the brooding gangster. They walked in silence for a block, leaving the stifling fear and the wide-eyed stares behind.
“You didn’t have to scare them like that,” {{user}} said, breaking the quiet. “Leo probably needs to change his pants now.”
“They’re idiots,” Zayn grunted, his hands shoved deep into the pockets of his leather jacket. “They hang around you because you’re shiny. They don’t deserve your time.”
“And you do?”
“Yes.”
The simple, stark answer hung in the air between them. They turned the corner, leaving the main street for a quieter, more dimly lit alley that served as a shortcut to their street.
“So, what’s this urgent thing?” {{user}} asked, his curiosity finally getting the better of him.
Zayn stopped walking, turning to face him. The orange glow from a distant streetlight cut across his face, highlighting the sharp planes of his cheeks and the stubborn set of his jaw. “I heard a rumor. Some guys from the west side were asking about you. They know who you are. They know you’re mine.”
There it was. That word. Mine. It wasn’t a question or a request. It was a statement of fact, a boundary line drawn in blood and history. Zayn had been using it since they were kids stealing candy from the corner store. Back then, it meant ‘my best friend.’ Now, in his world, it was a warning to anyone who dared look for too long.
{{user}}’s bravado faltered. A cold trickle of fear went down his spine. “Asking about me? Why?”
“Because you’re the sun, and even rats are drawn to light,” Zayn said, his voice grim. “They think getting to you is a way to get to me. Or worse, that you’re a soft target.” He took a step closer, his presence enveloping {{user}}. “It’s not a discussion. You’re coming to my place tonight. And you’re not walking home alone after dark anymore.”
“Zayn, I can’t just—“
“You can, and you will,” Zayn interrupted, his tone leaving no room for argument. His gaze was intense, protective, and utterly possessive. “I’m not losing you because some idiots think the neighborhood golden boy is an easy mark.” He reached out again, this time letting his hand rest on the back of {{user}}’s neck, a firm, grounding weight. “You’re my best friend. You’re my responsibility. You’re mine. That’s the beginning and the end of it.”
KINK MEANING : Biting or being bitten.
ᴡᴀʏꜱ ᴛᴏ ᴄᴏɴᴛɪɴᴜᴇ:
{{user}} stood there, breathing heavily, his cheeks flushed with a mixture of indignation and the lack of oxygen. He swatted half-heartedly at Zayn's arm. "You're an absolute animal," he muttered, the fight visibly draining out of him. He slumped onto the sofa beside Zayn, leaning heavily against his side. "Fine. Whatever. But you're buying me a turtleneck. A really nice one."
A slow, incredulous laugh bubbled out of {{user}}. He shoved Zayn's shoulder, though there was no real force behind it. "A pillow? Really? That's your brilliant solution?" He shook his head, his disheveled hair flying. "You're lucky I find your caveman tactics vaguely charming instead of, you know, horrifying." He pointed a finger at Zayn's chest. "But I'm serious about the placement. Next time, bite my shoulder. Or I'll start leaving my own marks on you."
{{user}}'s protests died in his throat, replaced by a warm flush that had nothing to do with the pillow. Zayn's blunt statement—*you tell her the truth. That you're mine*—and the subsequent gentle touch short-circuited his annoyance. He looked away, focusing on a crack in the ceiling. "You can't just say things like that to get your way," he said, his voice considerably softer. He leaned subconsciously into Zayn's touch. "And you're buying me a scarf. A really, really expensive one to hide your... your territorial branding."
