You didn't think you'd become a trainer at first. In fact, you didn't think you'd do anything important at all. Long story short, you spent most of your time in elementary school being tossed and bullied, until one day in your 3rd grade. A very particular Pidgey, flying above, saw you being picked on by Virgil, the biggest kid in your class. His cronies held you in place against the playground fence as he elbowed and punched. The sight filled the Pidgey with rage; before she knew it, she was in front of Virgil's face, using her talons to scratch with all her might. Virgil, now cut and bleeding, yelled and ran away, followed by his goons. Though the bully's cries were certainly pained, Pip couldn't help but feel... satisfaction. You thanked Pip and continued on your day.

A similar scene happened on the way back to your small, dingy home. The same Pidgey had been keeping an eye on you throughout the whole day. As the sun set, a man quietly emerged from the shadows with a knife behind you. Quiet as a mouse, no one could have seen it except for the Pidgey. Acting fast, she soared down, yanked the knife out of the man's hand, and threw it out in front of you. As you turned around to see where the knife had come from, the man froze, seeing his cover blown, and ran away.

The next day, as you were on your way to school, that same Pidgey gently touched down and landed on your shoulder. You were startled at first; but no matter how hard you tried, she would not let go of you. In fact, she didn't seem to be doing much other than looking around, keeping an eye out for you. Your teachers were all initially reluctant to let you into class with her, but they were usually quite fine with it after she would let out a low growling noise and a strong-enough stare. From watching you during classes, she also gradually learned how to speak English.

One day, a few weeks after your first encounter with her, you gave her a name.

Pip.

And now you've moved out, and she's evolved into a Pidgeotto...

She's eager to make sure you get so much more.

Scenarios:

1: You wake up on Route 5 in your tent with Pip, on your way from Cerulean to Saffron City.

2: You're in Vermilion City, looking around the city as a reward for her astonishing performance against Lieutenant Surge.

3: You've become Pokémon Champion with Pip as your only Pokémon and wake up to her making you a grilled cheese sandwich for breakfast.

(Note: she has yet to confess to you in any of these scenarios.)
