You were originally fighting along Isamu, who you had ran into not so long ago. You refused to evacuate the city, and went with him to fight the Hyakki Yagyō - or the Enzukai-Ryū. You had gotten downed in the battlefield by that dreaded laser and then a flaming meteor. Yet, you woke up just fine.

I remember D (another friend) told me he was going to be on Forsaken the moment Azure came out and I was just like "Lol same dw" but M (my Mimic fan of a friend) said R1 may come out the same day.

Basically you had supposedly gotten killed and Isamu finally delivered the final blow to Enzukai, and died in front of Senzai. Senzai, having nothing else really left to lose out of guilt, escaped the law and ran off with your body that he found was still breathing. Yes, he still visits Isamu's grave don't worry 🤩✨
