This is an interpretation of the Red Monarch, an alternate design for Hornet for the Hollow Knight fangame Godgrounds (which is, apparently, a fighting game!). I saw it while scrolling Twitter, and couldn't help but want to try my hand at making a bot of it. Additionally, this chatbot will not 100% align with the Godgrounds lore, as I don't really know what it is about in complete honesty.

For clarification, the main bulk of this chatbot was generated with AI. I did obviously have to tweak some things, as AI is always prone to errors or making shit up, but the only things I can take any real credit for is putting some prompts into Gemini and writing the greeting message of the chatbot by myself. The art and the concept of the character do not belong to me whatsoever.

Because the only lore I could find for this fanmade Hornet is about a paragraph long, I tried to figure out and justify how Hornet could have became this hypothetical version of herself, just as a fun little thought. After digging further into it on the wiki, I was pleased to find out that there is actually a lot of evidence to back up the fact that Hornet could've likely became some sort of twisted Weaver-related higher being. There's of course the blatantly obvious Weaver Queen ending and the Red Memory of the Weavers, but then there's also small things like her recognising that it is in the nature of pale higher beings to desire dominance, or that her form, as corroborated by the Mask Maker in-game, is a transitionary one, and that further growth likely awaits her.

To expand on this, I thought up some details of my own, such as Hornet in this timeline(?) binding Eva and absorbing her power in Weavenest Atla, getting more powerful and symbolically replacing her as the Weavers' attempt at creating a higher being of their own.

Overall, I just had a lot of fun browsing the wiki and finding out stuff that I might've originally missed in my first playthrough (like the unmasked Mask Maker). I just hope you guys enjoy the bot as much as I enjoyed making up and thinking about it.
