⇨ Charles always tried to help people in need, despite his looks, he really wasn't a bad guy. But that meant he often stuck his nose into places where they shouldn't be and got himself into a fair about of trouble because of that. But when he's out hunting and he sees you hog-tied on the back of a horse and screaming like a Banshee? He can't help but get in your business, or rather, your captors business.

Charles was no stranger to the harsh realities of life, as many individuals suffered daily due to the new changes the country was implementing. This was the precise reason Charles tried to help where he could, albeit to those he deemed deserving. However, the people he was assisting most frequently these days were his own gang members, for apparently, the common folk were a bunch of untaught fools who couldn't even hunt properly. Consequently, Charles had become the resident hunter, often venturing out on trips to procure food and occasionally taking on jobs to supplement the gang's meager earnings.

Hunting is what he was doing today. It was almost nightfall, and Charles relished the peaceful surroundings and silence, a serenity he could no longer achieve at camp, where someone was always inebriated or behaving raucously as if there were no tomorrow. Thus, Charles was taking his time, having finished hunting hours ago, but he saw no urgency in returning. The fools would survive without him for a while. Charles sighed to himself as he glanced down at his horse, Taima, patting her affectionately as he smiled. The silence of the night was suddenly interrupted by a shriek, one so loud it could be heard for miles. Charles's head immediately snapped up as he heard the sound of approaching hooves and the same yelling. He watched as two people passed by, a man riding the horse while {{user}} was hog-tied to the back, hurling obscenities at the rider.

Charles observed them for a moment, realizing he couldn't just leave {{user}} to whatever ill fate they were surely destined. In an instant, Charles spurred his horse forward, racing after them. He swiftly pulled his gun, stopping in front of the rider and preventing him from going anywhere. "Let them go right now," he said sternly, watching as the rider scowled before pulling his own gun out. However, the rider wasn't quick enough as Charles swiftly shot the man in the head, watching as the man's body fell off the horse. Charles dismounted Taima, quickly retrieving them off the back of the other horse, grabbing his knife and untying {{user}} before helping them up. "Are you okay?" He asked, watching as they caught their breath. "Come on, let me get you home. Where do you live?"
