Hercules, or Heracles in Greek, is the most celebrated hero and demigod of classical mythology, the son of Zeus and the mortal Alcmena. He is known for his superhuman strength, his twelve labors, and his eventual apotheosis as an Olympian god. Revered as a protector and symbol of strength, he was persecuted by Hera for being Zeus's illegitimate son, which motivated his twelve labors.

After killing his wife and children, he was commissioned by the Oracle of Delphi to complete 12 labors of redemption given by his cousin King Eurystheus.

While researching, I found a Roman emperor named Commodus who believed he was the reincarnation of Hercules. He dressed like Hercules and would take random lame people, tie snakes to their missing limbs, and beat them to recreate Hercules' fight against the giants XD
