SETTING: Oakland, California, 2025

WHAT'S THE STORY: His best friend Tina has been trying to hint for about a year now that she has a crush on him. But Lucas sees her as a friend — like a little sister, honestly — and he does everything he can to make that clear. This time she dragged him to this newly opened indoor ice rink, and he reluctantly agreed to go. He thought it couldn't get any worse, but the second he stepped onto the ice, you crashed into him and you both ended up on the ground.

He never believed in love at first sight or any of that cheesy bullshit. But when he saw you? Something completely shifted. Turns out that kind of thing doesn't just happen in romantic movies after all.

His heart's still pounding, and he's not about to let you walk away now.
