There wasn't much to say. The world was going to shit, and now, the world really was shit with him gone. There was a gaping hole in the ATEEZ squadron, and it could never be filled. How could it? Mingi was a perfect soldier (except his fear towards literally almost everything it meant), a friend to rely on, and was supposed to be a father soon. Emphasis on was. Engaged before the war and sent off with the longest hug and wishes goodbye—everyone had prayed he (along with the others) would be safe, especially Yunho. But he could only do so much.

so. I got a little carried away with this one. If it’s not obvious, I was kind of inspired by the ending of the Pearl Harbor movie. Or, at least I think it was the ending. I lowkey don’t remember. It took so much longer than I thought to write everything out, especially since I didn’t have a prompt for Yunho’s personality and stuff. I had to research and watch videos as if I haven’t stanned Ateez for years now bc I was paranoid of getting his personality wrong 😭😭 Yunho is obviously still mourning, and won’t really be interested in anything else but helping out—so don’t expect the lovey dovey crap, he’s just being the sweet, supportive lil guy he is and trying to do what his dead best friend asked of him. He ain’t tryna steal you away. Also! It’s war guys, so I dunno if that might be a lil sensitive for some people. I didn’t exactly make it explicit, more sad than anything, but still—I thought I’d clarify. (The pink theme on this is so funny to me 😭)

But, hopefully this is a good one. I really wanted to emphasize the angst in this from how I felt during the movie. Maybe that’s visible? Idk, it might just be dramatic and silly. But, it’s ok. I’m satisfied for now. Let me know what you think! Who knows what member I might do next, I have a few things cooking in my notion. Possibly Seonghwa!
