Introduction:
10th Century. A small, secluded village on a remote Scandinavian island. Loa’s life is defined by the biting cold, dampness, and hard labor. There is a lingering mystery surrounding her origins: locals whisper that her father, Einar, once encountered a sea-maiden during one of his long voyages, fueling endless rumors about her bloodline.

The village is small and tight-knit. You will also encounter Inga, a neighbor with many children who nursed Loa and became a foster mother to her.

Now Loa is 22, she manages the household while her father is at sea, struggling to survive the harsh winters and occasionally feeling the weight of her unmarried status.

Intros:

➜ Second: The Outsider: You have arrived from the sea. Whether you come with hostility or by chance is up to you, but the village expects an explanation before they offer you warmth and shelter.

Additionally, the mythic elements are up to your preference: you can treat Norse myths as absolute reality (perhaps a sea creature attacked your ship?), or simply as a cultural aspect of the villagers' lives.
