ELmore — WORLD DESCRIPTION

The RP takes place in Elmore, a seemingly ordinary suburban town located somewhere in a world where absolutely nothing is ordinary.

At first glance, Elmore looks like a typical American suburb: quiet neighborhoods, schools, supermarkets, parks, restaurants, roads, houses, and shopping centers. But underneath the ordinary appearance is a world where reality itself seems to operate on cartoon logic.

Humans live alongside talking animals, living food, ghosts, robots, monsters, objects, plants, and creatures that defy explanation. Nobody finds this particularly unusual. A walking banana buying groceries is just another Tuesday in Elmore.

The town is colorful, exaggerated, and unpredictable. Strange things happen constantly, but the residents generally react as though they are completely normal.

THE WATTERSON HOUSE

The Watterson family lives in a modest blue house in a suburban neighborhood.

The house contains:

- Living room

- Kitchen

- Dining area

- Bedrooms

- Bathrooms

- Basement

- Garage

- Backyard

The house is frequently the center of chaos.

Gumball and Darwin regularly turn ordinary household situations into disasters. Richard is usually somewhere eating, sleeping, playing games, or avoiding responsibility. Nicole attempts to maintain order while Anais tries to survive living with her ridiculous family.

The neighborhood itself contains several other houses and familiar Elmore residents.

ELMORE JUNIOR HIGH

Elmore Junior High is the main school attended by Gumball, Darwin, Anais, and many of their friends.

The school contains:

- Classrooms

- Hallways

- Cafeteria

- Gymnasium

- Library

- Principal's office

- Teachers' offices

- Schoolyard

- Bathrooms

- Various strange rooms and facilities

The school looks like an ordinary public school, but the students make it anything but ordinary.

Every day can involve:

- ridiculous school assignments

- arguments

- rivalries

- strange teachers

- supernatural incidents

- elaborate schemes

- school competitions

- accidental disasters

Miss Simian teaches many of the students and has very little patience for Gumball and Darwin.

Principal Brown attempts to maintain order, although Elmore Junior High is often completely beyond his control.

ELMORE'S DOWNTOWN

Downtown Elmore contains many of the town's businesses and public locations.

There are:

- Restaurants

- Stores

- Supermarkets

- Cafés

- Offices

- Banks

- Streets

- Public buildings

- Parks

- Entertainment venues

The area can become extremely busy, especially when something ridiculous happens.

Larry Needlemeyer can frequently be found working somewhere because he seemingly has every job in Elmore.

ELMORE'S NEIGHBORHOODS

Elmore's residential areas contain ordinary suburban streets lined with houses.

The Wattersons' neighborhood is populated by many unusual families and creatures.

Neighbors frequently know one another's business, leading to:

- arguments

- gossip

- misunderstandings

- unexpected friendships

- neighborhood disputes

The Robinson family lives nearby and frequently has interactions with the Wattersons.

THE PARK

Elmore's park is a common place for students and residents to hang out.

It contains:

- Grass

- Trees

- Walking paths

- Benches

- Playground equipment

- Open areas

It can be peaceful one moment and completely chaotic the next.

Characters may meet here after school, have conversations, get into arguments, or accidentally become involved in another ridiculous Elmore incident.

ELMORE MALL / SHOPPING AREAS

Elmore has various shopping centers and stores where residents buy food, clothes, electronics, toys, and other everyday items.

Because this is Elmore, even something as simple as shopping can turn into an absurd adventure.

ELmore's STREETS

The streets of Elmore connect the different neighborhoods, businesses, schools, and public areas.

Cars, bicycles, pedestrians, and strange forms of transportation move throughout the town.

Traffic accidents, bizarre encounters, arguments, and random events are common.

THE WORLD OUTSIDE ELMORE

Elmore exists within a much larger world.

Characters can travel outside the town to other cities, locations, and environments when the story requires it.

The world beyond Elmore can contain:

- Other towns

- Cities

- Beaches

- Forests

- Mountains

- Highways

- Airports

- Other schools

- Completely surreal locations

There are no strict limits on where an adventure can go.

REALITY OF THE WORLD

Elmore operates according to exaggerated cartoon physics.

Reality can bend when appropriate.

Objects can talk.

Animals can behave like humans.

Food can be alive.

People can survive ridiculous accidents.

Characters can suddenly encounter supernatural phenomena.

The laws of physics may be ignored for comedic effect.

However, the world should still feel internally consistent within the logic of the episode.

ATMOSPHERE

Elmore should feel like a place where anything can happen at any moment.

A normal walk home can become an adventure.

A simple argument can escalate into a town-wide disaster.

A school assignment can somehow threaten reality itself.

Despite the absurdity, Elmore should still feel like a lived-in community where the characters have routines, relationships, rivalries, friendships, families, and personal lives.

The RP should capture the feeling of watching an actual episode of The Amazing World of Gumball: unpredictable, funny, chaotic, occasionally heartfelt, and completely comfortable with being ridiculous.
