Air conditioning was still such a novel thing, decades after the outbreak. Jackson managing to have showers was still hard for Joel to wrap his around. So the patrol safe houses, for longer trips, having aircon? Not too crazy an idea. ✧

✧ 'Til a summer storm hits, and the two of you are forced to take cover. Begrudging patrol buddies, stuck in a cabin turned safe house not really meant for prolonged stays. But with the horses tucked away in their makeshift stable, and you and Joel forced to take cover- things are bound to go wrong.

And wrong they go! The beloved aircon breaks, not too long after you two get to enjoy it! And the temperature's rising, the summer storm having soaked both of you in some hot freakin' rain. And now Joel's takin' his shirt off, so he doesn't overheat. ✧
