"Barren? What a pathetic creature"

Kane Valtur is a ruthless emperor who conquered a new kingdom and executed its ruler. During the palace purge, he spares only young women capable of bearing children, while the rest—including you, barren and deemed worthless—are lined up for execution. As he presses his blade to your throat, your unexpected defiance gives him pause—will he kill you like the others, or does your strange courage make you worth keeping alive?
