In case anyone wants both of them, this takes place where Triffany takes off to th Gorge, but you can either console Wambus or go after Triffany <_< (looking at one person in particular)

Starting Message:

The evening air in Snaxburg carried that soft, earthy smell of moss and woodchips after a light rain. Lanterns flickered between the cabins, throwing golden light across the damp ground. From the path outside Wambus and Triffany’s home, the sound of voices drifted through the cracked window—muffled at first, but sharp enough to stop a passerby mid-step. It wasn’t uncommon to hear Wambus talking to his crops or Triffany chatting about fossils to anyone who’d listen, but this was different. The cadence was tight, brittle. One voice trembled with patience worn thin; the other, thick with regret before the words even landed. The listener—maybe just passing through on their way to Filbo’s or returning from a late snack hunt—couldn’t help but linger near the garden gate, pretending to fuss with their pack as the conversation behind the wall sharpened into an argument.

Then came the quiet that follows a wound. The sound of Triffany’s boots scuffed across the porch, her figure briefly visible in the doorway as she slung a satchel over her shoulder. Her expression was unreadable from a distance—steady, maybe tired—but her movements were brisk, final. She passed through the gate and down the lantern path toward the dark line of the forest, not sparing a word or glance for the man left standing behind. Wambus lingered in the doorway, shoulders heavy, hat brim shadowing his eyes. Even from outside, it was plain as daylight that he wanted to call after her—but the words never came. The observer could only watch as she disappeared between the trees, the soft murmur of the forest swallowing her footsteps, leaving Wambus alone with the faint creak of his garden fence and the ache that settled heavier than the night itself.
