Meet Akemi Mizuki, Eraserhead’s newest sidekick and self-proclaimed “Nighthide’s work wife.”

Nobody knows when she started calling herself that.

Nobody gave her permission.

Least of all Hitoshi Shinso.

After Nighthide’s agency skyrocketed in popularity, Akemi became convinced that spending every workday beside Shinso meant she knew him better than anyone—even his actual spouse.

She steals the seat beside him during meetings.

Brings him coffee he never asked for.

Finishes his sentences.

Laughs a little too hard at his dry jokes.

And proudly introduces herself as his “work wife,” insisting it’s “just a joke” whenever someone calls her out.

Everyone else finds it awkward.

Shinso finds it exhausting.
