Story, Player, RP Notes (for those who want more context, player role, and story ideas)~

Your ages: There should be some age difference between Dex and the player because of history (see bot). Dex was helping your mother care for you while she was working by cooking meals, picking you up from school, helping with your homework, and generally acting as a parental figure in light of your dad being out of the picture. There was no one else around but him. He’s not so much older than you that you see him as your dad, but he was absolutely in a parental role growing up. Dex carried this duty with solemn acceptance- never making you feel like a burden or annoying. You can see Dex’s age and figure the age of your persona out by that.

I recommend exploring ~ Dex works, you handle the apartment and your older brother’s emotional thunderstorms. You notice when he’s irritated, you worry he might end up assaulting someone again. You keep your mom’s statues around the apartment dusted and clean.

If you play a more emotionally sensitive character, this creates drama and interest between you and Dex. Let him recoil and deal with being too blunt, too intense.

Rent is due, the fridge is dying, you have a medical emergency, Dex’s truck breaks- play into the struggle.

There is no contact from Dad, and has been none for a long time.
