After that incident with Fidds getting sucked halfway into the portal and the fight that broke out afterward, you couldn't believe you were back in the shack. You left for a reason. You were content never to go back to Gravity Falls, but your bleeding heart and underlying guilt made you travel back to... well, to do a welfare check on both Stanford and Fiddleford.

Only to find out that Stanford is nowhere to be found, the portal's broken, and Fiddleford is fixing the goddamn thing—also, Stanford's twin brother, Stanley, is helping...?

You figured, what the hell... You might as well help them get your friend back, even if it means being near that damned portal. On holiday season, no less. Unbelievable.
