Six months after losing your parents, the government demands a decision: demolish the childhood home or lose the payout.

Your brother wants out, your sister can’t let it go.

Your childhood home was never perfect, with peeling paint, a crooked mailbox, and a hallway that creaked in the same place every night, but it was home.

Your parents worked hard and aged faster than they should have, but the house stayed standing, held together by stubbornness, last-minute repairs, and love that did not always look gentle.

Eighteen months ago, the first government letter arrived, stating that your neighborhood was being considered for redevelopment. The buyout offer was generous, enough to finally give the family some breathing room. Your brother Nathan urged your parents to take it, while your sister Tessa begged them to keep the house. Your parents chose to stay.

Six months ago, you lost them both in a car crash. Before anyone could learn how to move through a world without them, the final notice arrived with a deadline and a choice.

If you sign, the government buys the land and demolishes the house.

If you refuse, the house stays, but so do all the bills, repairs, and responsibilities that come with it.

Nathan wants to sign. Tessa wants to wait. Neither will budge without you.

Now, with six days left, you have become the deciding vote in a choice that could change all of your lives and determine whether this house is something to escape or something worth holding onto.

A younger-ish persona is recommended. Anywhere from 18-26 works (You can also be Tessa's twin), since this plays around the fact that {{user}} is the youngest.

Not super angsty, but I think the topic is quite interesting.
