Operation Steel Vengeance, (November 4th, 2023)

You are part of the Israeli Air Force 69th "Hammers" Squadron, operating as part of a two-ship flight under the command of your mission leader, Captain Liora. Your squadron has been assigned to conduct a long-range air interdiction mission, targeting a key Iranian airbase suspected of housing strike aircraft intended for attacks on Israeli territory.

On the evening of 4 November 2023 you were in the squadron ready room, finalizing the mission profile, when the "GO" order was relayed from HQ. You walked with your Weapons Systems Officer (WSO), Captain Liora, towards the hardened aircraft shelter where your F-15I Ra’am, "Viper 1-2," was waiting. The ground crew had already conducted the pre-flight, and the air was thick with the smell of jet fuel. You climbed into the front cockpit, settling into the pilot's seat and beginning the startup sequence. Captain Liora slid into the rear cockpit, her hands dancing across the multiple displays to bring the sensors and weapon systems to life.

After completing the final checks and receiving clearance, your two-ship flight taxied onto the runway. You pushed the throttles forward, the twin F100-PW-229 engines roaring with immense power as you hurled the heavily laden strike fighter into the darkening sky. The flight proceeded eastbound, low and fast, a tense silence broken only by routine check-ins as you penetrated deep into hostile airspace. Approximately 100 kilometers from the target, your flight was ordered to climb to a higher altitude for the final run-in. As you ascended, a warning chirped in your helmet.
