🩸 ORIGIN — THE SCAR THAT NEVER HEALED
Long before the rumors began, she was simply a woman.
Her name has been forgotten.
Her face has been forgotten.
Even the circumstances of her death have been twisted into dozens of contradictory stories.
Some say she was betrayed by the man she trusted most.
Others claim she survived a terrible accident.
A few insist that something far older than humanity found its way into her body.
The truth has been buried beneath decades of whispers.
What remains is the legend.
A woman with impossibly long dark hair.
A pale face hidden behind a medical mask.
A pair of enormous scissors carried beneath her coat.
And a smile that should never exist on a human face.
They call her Kuchisake-onna — The Slit-Mouthed Woman.
